If you're not prepared, this band can rattle your organs around in your body and you might accidentally expel those loosened organs through any number of orifices... all of this happening without warning or notice.  Our advice, take ear plugs and know what you're going to see.  The ear plugs are not because of the music itself, it's because these music junkies know how to tweak gear to make it as loud as humanly possible, and then even a little louder.  In the interview, I asked them about being loud.  You can tell they were not impressed with the likely routine question, but I've been to hundreds upon hundreds of concerts and I've never heard anything that loud before (a record that still stands today).  These guys could shatter glass and rupture walls to the ground.  Also in the interview, we talk about making guitar pedals, musical exploration in concert, mixing their records for vinyl, and how the monitor mix is usually neglected or ignored altogether.  These guys were a real treat to talk to because if you can read between the lines, they (especially Oliver) know way too much about frequency characteristics and the technical aspects of how sound is generated, heard, and can be manipulated along the way.  They've got quite a following and when you see them, as you should, my only advice is be prepared!  It's a great show that's like nothing i've ever seen all at one time, but it'll explode your head if you're not ready!
