I am just going to come out and say this; out of all the other staffers here at Undiscovered Radio Network, I am the least talented in the ways of music and production. Oh don’t get me wrong I can rock out a mean rendition of any song out there. And who cares if it’s in only in the shower or after many, MANY drinks at the bar?? I can play the drums on my steering wheel just like the pros and in my head I am the next great songwriter of our time. Bottom line- there is music inside of all of us. Some just channel it better than others. That’s why Undiscovered is such a great outlet for those to have that drive and passion to succeed. If you want it bad enough, sound great, and can rock a crowd, you deserve to be heard. Me? I am very happy to sing into my shower head and let the others have the spotlight. Would not want to have them feel threatened. HA!
I am more of the radio and sales kinda girl anyway. My background started as an air talent, then promotions, and then into affiliate sales. I’ve worked at too many radio stations in too many states to list. I am the one that gets Undiscovered onto your local airwaves each week. It’s fun to call stations and tell them what a great service we offer. My goal is to get the great bands we cover more exposure and hopefully they remember us all and thank us when they win the Grammy. So radio watch out! You will be getting a call from me soon!!
I currently reside in Minneapolis, MN. We have a great live music scene. I highly encourage you if you are ever in Minneapolis to visit First Ave. Think Purple Rain and Prince... yeah, THAT First Ave. The club is still going strong and it hasn’t changed a bit and the history of that place slaps you in the face when you walk in.
My favorite band of all time is Aerosmith. They will be a tough one to bump out of the top spot, but I am a lover of all things music. IF you get my attention, get my booty shakin a bit, then I’m a fan for life. I am a firm believer that just because you don’t have the fancy recording contract does not mean you are not good enough. I often go to local shows and get more excited to see the opening act than the headliner. You just never know the one show you see in a small bar could be the next big thing. Music is music people. If it makes you feel good and you like it, then share it.
