I can't put my finger on exactly what makes this band special to my ears, but there's something there that tweaks my tweeter.  Perhaps it's the giant power chords, maybe it's the constant battering of the drums, but it's probably those two things combined with the attitude of Joe Bradley's lead vocals.  He's got that intangible element of attitude that is the heart and soul of the band.  Put anyone else in that spot and I think it's another band that no one cares about.  But with him plugged in to the spotlight, the entire outfit screams from top to bottom.  There is also an element of historical similarity in this band, but I don't think it's as heavy as they themselves think it is.  They're more fresh than they think they are.  But if I had to throw one cliched comparison - Thin Lizzy's "The Rocker" from 1973.  But this is way too much text before mentioning - I F*CKING LOVE THIS BAND!  In the interview, we discuss the lack of a bass player, Grand Theft Auto, Will Ferrell being a huge fan, ripping off material, and even an appearance by one of their crazy friends Joel who just before getting on mic, who for no good reason but a laugh, slammed his head into the sliding glass door leading to the balcony we were on.  You can hear it!  This is a great band who's live set is where it's at!  ...  Also, the last little bit of the interview is a prime example of the stupid conversations I get myself into once an interview is over, and I happened to have the recorder still running this time.  Yikes!
