Dirty Sweet - This interview is horrible from my end, and thus its delayed release, but you can tell the band is full of fun guys. Also, we were in an alley outside of the make-shift Viper Room that was set up for the SXSW festival, so it wasn’t a great audio environment as well. In any case, they’ve got some fun things to say about their recording process, live shows, and being mistaken for Shooter Jennings. And in a funny coincidence, you can hear Waylon Jennings playing in the background. After seeing the band perform about 20 minutes after this interview, I was really disappointed that I didn’t know them better. Their show rocked! ... In my defense, it was my third day on the job and the first time I had interviewed someone cold- lesson learned!
Dirty Sweet 2 - Once again, Undiscovered's good friends Space was recruited to conduct an interview, this time a second run at Dirty Sweet. He and Undiscovered's own president and marketing director, Colleen and Stacey, went to see the band at Spaceland in L.A. - fun coincidence - and talked to the band outside before the show. In the interview, besides getting to hear Space's cool Aussie voice, you'll hear about Dirty Sweet's trip to Europe, their own recording studio, acoustic sets, a small Japanese man, details about their first LP Of Monarchs and Beggars, and be sure to listen through to the end to hear how many takes it took to get a good tag from the band!
