There's nothing I love more than an old-timer leading a bunch of younger rockers through a set that's more energetic and fun than about 97% of the concerts I've ever seen.  It's fun to watch the transformation to the stage persona, as Lady Dottie seems shy and quiet, keeping mostly to herself while watching and listening to others talk about the band and the music.  Unless she's got something to say, she's just there, smiling.  But she gets dressed up for the show and gets a tambourine in her hands - HOLY SHIT!  It's like looking at a sexy motorcycle with all it's shine and curves and you can't help but touch it, only to find out the pipes are burning hot and it scalds your skin!  That's Lady Dottie and The Diamonds on stage - it can scald!  In the interview, we talk about the formation of the band, playing instruments on the street, tracking the record live to tape [YES!], and moving on up to the east side!  Check out the entire interview as I think the best personality comes in after the interview where I left the recorder running, especially from Dottie.  This is the best new blues-rock band I've seen.
