Run Through The Desert - Jason Sutter came by the studio to talk about his new project Run Through the Desert. This band found each other by being the live touring band for Chris Cornell a few years back, and they still tour the globe with him and have formed their own 3-piece band. In the interview we talk about playing big versus playing "Indie," CD design by family and album-artwork-world-royalty, recording on tour in buses and hotels, and Sutter's first vocal performance on a record. I don't remember how we first met up with Jason, but we knew him back in '07 when we hit Nashville to interview Earl Greyhound opening for Chris Cornell (yup - "Run Through The Desert" was backing Cornell then, but hadn't yet become a band together). I already liked what these guys were doing then, but after seeing their own thing get off the ground, I'm excited we knew them on the ground floor. There should be nothing stopping them with a first record of this caliber. Great guys, even better musicians, this is a powerhouse band.
