In a little park on a street in Austin, Texas, I was blown away from the amount of musical and social knowledge displayed by Ryan Lenssen of TMSR.  If you can't tell, half the time I'm trying to not respond like an idiot to his highly intuitive and descriptive comments on music and society.  Sometimes it worked, sometimes not.  I already liked this band enough to want to get an interview, but after this conversation, I have the utmost respect for TMSR taking the stance of "hey popular, screw you.  Our way is better and more respectable."  But you have to listen to fully appreciate that stance ... and to know that I'm not exaggerating.  And maybe you're thinking, "geesh Murphy.  Maybe you shouldn't speak for them."  And while that is a good point to consider, I also have no doubts they will never see this page.  Again, give a listen to hear why.  A VERY knowledgeable and opinionated musician awaits your ears in this interview, but I make no promises that you won't get offended, although I tend to share many of his views myself (blogging, dress codes, popular music culture, mammaries, etc.)
